I opened this book feeling it wouldn't live up to the high barometer of success needed in this literary field, as the field is becoming more mainstream. How utterly wrong I was...

This is the absolute holy grail of seduction guides, written in a simple, honest manner, codifying perhaps one of the greatest mysteries of all time. Richard La Ruina not only has an intelligent passion for his subject, he has a very deep understanding of the female mind which breaks through on virtually every page. It is very hard to find quality information about this intricate and fascinating art these days, and, much as we love women, there is too much information on the subject now. It is refreshing to at last find a book that simplifies seduction into something natural, honest and real.

His use of diagrams combined with an effectively simple layout, character references, step-by-step approaches, natural ways to overcome resistance, detailed lines and routines (to overcome approach anxiety) until you can become spontaneous and natural, this book gives any man the potential to seduce any woman in a very healthy, natural way.

'The Natural Art of Seduction' is a rare triumph that far surpasses the industry standard - I can't recommend it highly enough if you want to make the most out of your time with women, and out of your life in general. 10/10!

Looking at how Richard La Ruina crafted his book, it is very easy to assume that he exaggerated on some of the stories he wrote. I have to say that I agree with this to a certain extent.

But the moral of the story here is not how true some of the stories he narrates in the book are. The real moral of the story is that some of the things this guy recommends are true. Whether he copied them from someone else or not, it does not in any way take away the truth from some of the tips he recommends.

I did not buy this book because I had a problem talking to women. I would not want to say I am an expert at the subject., but If I check my history, I surely do not have a problem chatting up women.

I have to say since I read the book I have been able to learn tricks most of my friends don't know.

For example, how many times do you go on a night out and you see guys with their hands in their pocket all acting cool and when the party is over the leave as they come. I went to a party the other day and I tried been extra sociable, truth is it got me more attention than I ever had. I broke a conversation of three girls and a boring guy. One guy even had the guts to say to me that :

"You are everywhere, man. Chatting everything in skirt".

my response was:

"Am I suppose to be chatting anything in trousers?"

I know enough of women to understand that most of them don't go for boring guys and as for reviewers suggesting that women go for looks all I have to say is that they are as shallow as their thinking.

Richard got it spot on regarding the few tricks guys miss

Eye contact: A huge problem in the social circle. Most men are busy asking their guy friends, "I think that girl likes me", when they should be approaching the girl that is showing interest.

Generic dressing: First impressions matter. Countless of times, I have noticed girls gave me extra attention when I dress nice. It makes me stand out and this was before I read this book.

Holding interesting and connecting conversations: So many men find it hard to get a girl to be interested in them, they are always waiting for a day when a girl likes them for who they are. Wonder why you don't get the kind of girls you desire.

I met two girls yesterday at my school bar. I had chat up one of them recently and she happened to be there with her girl friend who I had seen briefly. When I entered the school bar they were a few metres away from three of my male friends. I went straight to them and started chatting to them and this time around I focused on the girl I had met briefly because I did not know her as much as the first girl.

Subconsciously I used some of the tricks recommended by Richard, things like creating a connection by using hooks, eye contact, showing more interest in the girl's hobbies and passions in life. It worked wonders because I came out knowing the girl more and found out we were from the same country.

While I was doing this I was been gestured to by my male friends. They were teasing me and I figured out they were interested in the girls. When the girls left the bar, they came over and told me they like them. I wonder what stopped them. What I have got to understand is that in life YOU HAVE GUYS WHO GO FOR IT AND GUYS WHO JUST SIT THERE ACTING COOL

The funniest thing about this is that I did this before I got to read the part about how to make a conversation with a girl interesting.

All this made me believe that Richard La Ruina's book is worth a read and recommend it to people who are humble enough to understand that WE AS MEN HAVE EGO's AND IS THAT SAME EGO THAT MAKES US NOT BELIEVE THE SIMPLE THINGS THAT MAKE LIFE EASIER!!!!!!!

Following on from the success of `the game', comes `The Natural Art of Seduction' by Richard La Ruina (Gambler). The format of the book takes two roots...it is on one hand a self help, or `how to' book, but on the other... it is also a fascinating story about a shy, social inept guy who transforms himself into London's premier Casanova.

The book is well written and breaks down the outlined seduction skills and explains them simply. Throughout the book Richard uses diagrams and step-by-step approaches to deliver his method clearly and concisely. Unlike `the game' the book has plenty of useable lines and techniques. Since the book takes a natural approach to seduction it's also pretty light on cheesy routines a gimmicks. .

In short, a great intro into the world of seduction. The book is filled with useful information and the story of Richards transformation from zero-to-hero, is inspirational.

Perhaps, the only must have book on seduction. 10/10. Highly recommended!

Richard's book is the best on the subject, here is a man whose teaching is not deceptive, or misogynistic jargon but honest, careful, and brilliantly entertaining advice to help us attract women. It leaves nothing out and goes beyond women, by helping you to improve your general outlook on yourself and your lifestyle.

A bargain price, with priceless material. Grab your copy of this bible today!

If you ever wanted to know how to instantly break through the BS and get right to the real person your talking to this is the book. Deep Rapport building is a skill that is just not available to men growing up. The outlines and skills taught and discussed in this book are priceless. The Natural Art Of Seduction gives a refreshing look how to capture the girl of your dreams and make her yours. The book had a way of seducing me to read it more than ounce.

The author, a self professed formere geek, hadn't even kissed a girl by age 21, until he taught himself the art of seduction. It seems to have worked well for him and now he teaches the reader how to do it for themselves. You might find, as I did, that some of the techniques might be likened to NLP, but whatever works, works and you can't argue with progress. If you looking to up your game a bit, this is a good bet. I'd recommend it to just about anyone who wants to learn the art of seduction.

Absolutely fantastic book, putting some of the techniques to work after just one read through showed results. I feel more confident already. Its shows how to be in general a more confident person, it doesnt just stay with picking up women.

HIGHLY recommended.

The Game is so commonly cited as the "ideal introduction". Get this instead. I've been in the gaming community for almost 2 years now. And this book, in digital, and paper forms has been a ideal resource to read again, and again and again. I've long since discarded Mystery Method, Magic Bullets, yet this still has pride of place.

Disadvantages? He's becoming well known. Don't copy the material word for word. Become a natural.

Advantages? It shows the creation of a PUA, not a ego cult leader. Highly recommended!

This book talks about how to be social with women in terms that a relatively unexperienced man will understand. Probably one of the best books I've read. Up there with Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence people.

After reading Neil Strauss' The Game and Mysterys' Mystery Method, Richard La Ruinas' The Natural Art of Seduction makes pick-up all the more tangibly real and applicable - in a way that's never been captured in book form before, or since.

Herein is a stark honesty combined with a factual awareness of the human condition without making its PUA author sound cringingly akin to a super-human sex assasin, unlike his much over-hyped US competitors.

La Ruina leads us, big brotherly, from his own dark and lonely tender years of a bullied and perpetually rejected youth, into an upwardly mobile switch process of fundamental change - both geographic and personal. He understood, from the get-go, the importance of strong peer groups and target-rich environments as a primitive means of attaining a successful lifestyle and abundance of desirable women. An active sex life that doesn't wane.

La Ruinas breakdowns of what works and what doesn't is clear as crystal, making use of three basic (yet subtle) switches: Mr. Social, Mr. Comfort and Mr. Seducer. I've just recently spent a week living in Richard La Luinas flat during a PUA residential course he runs, and believe me, these three components are essential learning material on their own.

So long as the reader sees the minimal use of routines and canned openers in this book as a mere starting ground, rather than a means to an end to replace any previous 'comfort zones', the rewards herein amount to a meaningful insight of into how men and women come together - and how they REALLY get it on.

I brought this book in a spur of the moment buy to see if it could give me some more interesting reading on the unknown world of PUA.

It normally takes me 3-4weeks to read a book as i get bored and put it down and then pick it up a few days later. I can honestly say it took me 2days to read this book as i was just instantly hooked.

I found richards story interesting and i found the information and tips he gave even more interesting. I have read The Game and Mystery Method and I don't know if it is the best book out of them but it would be hard to say it wasn't. I really hope Richard writes a follow up book as he has a way with words and puts then in a great format.

All i can say is if you are slightly thinking about buying this book, JUST DO IT. if your dissapointed i will give you the refund myself!!

Richard La Ruina used to be a very shy guy from Cambridge with no social status at all and zero confidence. Then he made big changes in his life and moved to London to get his social problem handled. He tells you about his exciting adventures in his path to being successful with women and shows you that you too can be a success.

This book give you the basic tools for you to go out and practice so you can get more confident and successful with women. I had the pleasure of meeting the man himself and he is certainly the real deal. Purchasing this book is the 1st step to awakening the amazing confident man inside you that women are dying to meet.

I have only recently been introduced into the world of Pick-Up, and for the past year or so I've lost hours trudging through online material and other books looking for sound techniques and trustworthy material to be put into use where it matters: In the field. To be honest, without sounding like a suck-up, this book has tought me more about seduction than all those hours of reading articles and watching videos of other PUAs on the internet.

Each section of a pick-up, and different aspects of the art such as the difference between Day Game and Dance-Floor Game, and these he goes into in some detail, although the book isn't clogged with lists of different techniques and set-pieces to learn.

I found the concept of 'Natural Game' which the book is based around a lot more attractive than some of the other types of Pick Up, some of which I think are responsible for the view that PUA is essentially tricking women into liking you. Natural game helps a guy to be able to put his personality across, whilst using certain techniques to create attraction, which is better from a moral standpoint, imo.

This book is a great introduction and manual for any PUA, no matter what level of experience they have, and lifted me from a self conscious AFC to a beginner PUA with the confidence to talk to girls and the skill to number close.

It's changed my life and I'm really grateful to Richard for writing it, at a crazy cheap price too (when I bought it anyway). If you're wondering about whether it's worth buying a book about PUA, honestly, writing from experience of quite a few other books, including e-books, I'd say this is your best bet.

I've read, watched, and listened to DAYS WORTH of Pick-Up Artist material to fix every sticking point in my game.. all ranging from useless to life changing and I have to say, this book provides something that most do not.. variety. Richard introduces you to almost every aspect of "gaming" and even provides tips for fixing an important inner game. Harsh critics will say this book isn't as in depth as certain material. Okay. Great. This is good. Your supposed to going out, challenging yourself and constantly learning. When you learn on your own, you become a natural. Not just a memory with a scripted book and incongruity. You do this, you actually internalize many learned behaviors and improve your social skills dramatically. Otherwise your just another nerd treating pick-up as an academic subject. I've had my fair share of just learning.. but your game will not improve without the internalization of social dynamics. Richard teaches you to improve your Natural Game. Natural can not exist without congruence in how you present your self with your body language, vibe, energy, vocal tone, etc. If Richard wrote down exactly how he does it, you would not be natural. Great book, I recommend it from beginners to even advanced, there are some things even subtle advanced PUAs can learn.

If you're new to the Seduction Community, then this may be a good introduction for you. Richard keeps the jargon down to a minimum, aside from a few classic terms such as AMOG, Opening, and Mixed Sets, you won't need to refer to a glossary every second sentence.
The book is also very easily available; on Amazon.com

Richard's method seems to be a combination of the Mystery Method Structure, Wayne "Juggler" Elise's Conversational Jiu Jitsu, and elements of David DeAngelo's works, altough he doesn't directly quote any products.

Each chapter deals with a different part of the Seduction Interaction, with chapters on Openers, Number and Kiss closing, Mid-Game ideas for building rapport, plus advice on Same Night Lays. He also goes into some detail on dealing with "I've a boyfriend" objection.
There is also a chapter on additional ideas, where he explores more routine based moves like Cold Reading

What I liked best:
The Three Characters of Seduction.
This is Richard's own take on the various stages of Seduction.
Many people, in his experience, can get caught up in the Sociable or Comfort modes, and getting relegated to "Let's just be friends!" pretty quickly.

He says that while many guys are interesting, and would make a good boyfriend, they're unable to demonstrate that to a girl in the first few minutes. They start the conversation in a boring way, they ask lots of boring questions, and they're very low energy - just the wrong sort of impression you want to give!

Mr. Sociable is the guy you need to be when you enter into a Set. You must appear more interesting, and of higher energy, than the set's current state. Richard outlines a few ideas that will help you get in there and start a conversation, engage them, then move onto the next step.

The second character is Mr Comfort. This is where you connect with your target, to find reasons to see that person again. He warns against getting into generic "hair dresser" questions, instead of getting down to really what makes that person tick, their motivation, their character traits, their emotions.

The third character is The Seducer, which he says is the phase that most of his clients have problems with. He teaches you the point where you should start to escalate things and need to put in some sexual tension, and to go for the kiss or number close.

I'd score it highly on its advice regarding body language, voice, and attitude, and generally, the importance of giving off the right alpha-male persona.

An excellent source of information for the budding PUA. Although Richard has clearly taken much of Mystery's Method to heart, he has laid out the information and steps required to be successful with women in plain language with plenty of great examples.

I like how he has broken down the approaches into indirect vs direct and spends a fair time detailing direct approaches, as well as day game.

His biggest flaw in the book is that it really isn't as long as I would have liked (240 pages), and he seems to get rushed along near the end when he's talking about inner game.

Wow I have never felt the need to write a review before but this book is just Great. It`s so straight forward to read and the Guy is so clever, he is obviously very intelligent and Boy does he know his stuff.

He tells of how only a few years ago he was a shy Guy and didn`t even kiss a girl until he was around 22 years old .He studied books and learnt his craft.

He also comes across as a really warm Guy who although becoming a pick up Artist still loves Women and on the whole shows them a lot of respect.

I read the game but this is so much better !!

I got into pick-up literature out of desperation because it seemed to explain the problems I'd always been having in my relationships. Anyone who thinks this stuff is exclusively about tricking the girls into bed is missing the bigger picture: this is in fact, as Neil Strauss puts it, something that women have had access to for years - simply sound dating advice. Read any issue of Cosmopolitan.

Of course, men being men, we have trouble accepting we need advice, and if we do like to dress things up in the regalia of secret societies, aliases, complicated systems of rules, mind tricks and all that kind of stuff. We turn it into a sport. Because of this, I'd always dismissed PU stuff as sleazy and misogynist. Sometimes the marketing is hard to swallow especially for those of a 'sensitive guy disposition'. It is hard for me to feel comfortable reading a book with an endorsement from the Sport!

However, I've found Richard's stuff in particular makes a lot of a sense and he seems to genuinely like and respect women, and his teaching taps into wider NLP/life coaching concepts. He also seems like a thoroughly nice bloke.

It's a good read and well paced. The writing is lucid and free from jargon. Richard is a born teacher and I appreciate his step-by-step breakdown and well-chosen anecdotes. The first-person account never seems gratuitous or like pub bragging and it always underlines his points.

More importantly, I've found it really helpful so far, particularly in the area of body language, inner game and 'kino.' I think this book is a reflection of Richard's own way of doing things - which seems to me to be 'become a really nice, emotionally literate and sexually confident guy' - and is sketchy on some areas that may be useful to some guys such as banter, push-pull and so on, but there's lot's of stuff out there on this.

Personally, I think the heavily publicised Mystery method (familiar from 'the Game') both over complicated and difficult to apply. Certainly many female friends of mine confide they are absolutely sick of men ineptly 'negging' them. Certainly I suspect most guys would get a lot further with most girls using Richard's simple and sensible advice.

In summary, despite the 'seduction' tag, this book is sound unpretentious dating advice for the newly or long term single man; those of us looking to up their game and meet and date the women they actually want rather than the ones who choose them. If you are looking for nerdy jargon and Jedi mind tricks this won't be your book - but if you are looking to be more relaxed, aware and attractive in female company than you will find it a valuable read.
