In an age where many British boxers reach millionaire and so called legend status long before they actually achieve anything in the square ring this book is a breath of fresh air.
Teddy Baldock, achieved more in his reletively short career than many other boxers ever did and at last this forgotten warrior's story has been put in to print.
Much like Baldock's career the book has no holds barred, taking the reader on a journey of the highs and lows of Teddy's life in and out of the ring.
If you are looking for a sugary tale of life try one the biographies written by 19 year old 'superstars' (chapter 1 My paper round) If you want a well written gritty look at a true working class hero who had everything and ended up with nothing then this is for you, whether you are an avid boxing fan or not. It is a truely fantastic read.
